| COURSE DESCRIPTION |
| The curriculum of art is designed to teach the four components of art education: Aesthetics, Production, |
| Criticism, and History. These components are integrated into units that emphasize and are classified |
| according to different types of art production activities, such as Drawing, Painting and Sculpture. The |
| units are organized in a comprehensive sequential manner. The sequence begins with Aesthetics and Art |
| Criticism as a way of teaching students what to look for and how to look for it, emphasizing experience |
| with a variety of media. |
