The Texas
Education Agency again
named Barbers Hill ISD a
Texas Recognized
District! This rating
is based on the performance
of students on statewide
assessments administered
during the 2007-2008 school
year. Campus
ratings were also released.
Barbers Hill Intermediate,
Elementary, and Primary
Schools received the coveted
Exemplary rating
while the High
School was rated as
Recognized.
Campuses and
the district were evaluated
on 84 separate indicators.
Sixty of these indicators
were rated at the
exemplary level and 22
were at the recognized
level. Only two of the
indicators were at the
acceptable level.
District and
campus leaders along with
their staffs have done an
exceptional job of preparing
students for these important
assessments. These ratings
validate the hard work and
team effort that was put
forth. Students and parents
also deserve a great deal of
credit for their commitment
and performance.
