energy...

Petroleum, a $10,000 grant will enable Barbers Hill
Elementary to raise the awareness of energy conservation
in the community with a wide variety of
multi-disciplinary activities. Some of the highlights
include the development of an environmentally friendly
garden, a campus recycling initiative, monthly energy
audits, a district web site dedicated to energy
conservation, energy conservation lessons, and a
community-wide Earth Day celebration. With this unit of
study, we will develop the “Barbers Hill Green Team”, a
student-based group that will monitor our progress in
the area of energy conservation. Pictured are
